Reggie Bush gave back his Heisman for the sake of appearances. Better to return it than to have it stripped. Or as in the real world, better to resign than to get fired.
Here's what Reggie was really thinking when he returned the Heisman. "Do I get to keep all the money I've made? Well take the damn thing. I don't give a damn about that trophy! I'm Reggie Bush! I don't need this from you old people on the Heisman committee!! I'm young and I'm rich!!!! To hell with all ya'll. Asking me questions about what I did 5 years ago! What did you do five years ago, huh? What? I got rid of Kim Kardashian because she was working my nerves, and have you seen her ass? You think I'm about to put up with ya'll old men in my business? I just won the Super Bowl in New Orleans!!! Who Dat!!!! Just take the damn thang!!!!"
Now Reggie's press release was far more classy, but for a young rich guy who blew up college football in 2005, he should have just said what he was thinking.
